Body Composition Measurement
"I have been strict with my food intake for two weeks now and I have not lost a pound!".
You may still weigh the same however the composition of your body may well have changed. A simple test could prove that your hard work is actually paying dividends. The fat is being replaced by lean muscle. Lean muscle hold more water and this could be the reason the scales have not moved. Muscle will passively burn more calories per day.
Serious athlete
When training extensively it is easy to take in insufficient carbs, protein and fat to provide your body with the resources to convert into energy. When this happens you find yourself burning muscle instead of fat. Clearly not the best end result for all that effort. Regular tests will tell you what your estimated calorie intake should be and the changes to your bodies composition
A non invasive test using four sticky electrodes. Two attached to one hand and two to the corresponding foot. A battery generated signal is passed through the body and the results give us the following:
- Body fat %
- Fat weight %
- Lean muscle %
- Lean muscle weight
- Body water %
- Basic metabolic rate
- Average calorie intake required
