Nutrition Analysis
Calories in versus calories out is the basic formula for maintaining weight.
However when training seriously for any sport this formula is complicated by the way in which our body utilises it resources to provide energy. The body’s preference is carbohydrates however we can train our body to utilise fats more effectively.
A daily intake of Carbohydrate will range from 5-10 grams per kg of bodyweight per day depending on whether you have a sedentary lifestyle or are an endurance or power athlete.
Protein will range from 1-1.6 grams per kg of bodyweight.
Fat will be 20-25% of our intake.
Understanding what our diet consists of will help us maximise the energy systems and the repair and recovery of our body.
